In the email, she questioned Emerson’s authority and suggested that he should retire, asserting that the county had outgrown his leadership.

Peterson was arrested after being accused of pushing a cop
Early Thursday morning in Atlanta, Christina Peterson, a recently removed judge, was arrested at Red Martini Restaurant.
She faces charges like felony obstruction and battery against a police officer. The incident began when an officer approached Peterson while she was with a distressed woman. She allegedly hit the officer.
Video footage shows Christina in a fight with another officer, saying, “Take me where you wanna take me,” and refusing to show ID, citing her work with unidentified bodies. She later claimed she was trying to help a woman under attack.
Alexandria Love, the woman Peterson helped, defended her at a press conference. Her lawyer criticized the arrest, saying the man attacking Love wasn’t arrested.
More footage shows Christina resisting officers, saying, “Don’t touch me!” She didn’t give her name and seemed intoxicated.
Peterson skipped her first court appearance. Her lawyer said they’ll fight the charges, arguing Peterson was unfairly arrested while trying to help.
