During the filming of “Flinch” the same year, he faced another arrest, this time for threatening to burn down his mother Jo-Anne’s house.

Despite being bailed out by “Flinch” director Cameron Van Hoy and his mother, Duress encountered further legal issues, resulting in subsequent arrests and a return to Rikers on charges of menacing, criminal possession of brass knuckles, and possession of a controlled substance.

In 2021, following the release of “Flinch,” Duress made a cameo appearance in “Funny Pages,” portraying the character Ryan. In his final days, he was actively involved in the production of “Mass State Lottery,” set for release in 2024.
