As bedtime neared, one girl sensed danger and pretended to drink the smoothie while secretly abstaining. She reported Meyden’s unsettling actions, such as moving her friend’s hand and conducting tests to see if they were awake.

Feeling uneasy, the girl urgently texted her mom, expressing discomfort and asking to be picked up. The girl reported Meyden lingering near the headboard for what felt like 15 minutes after pretending to be asleep.
