Anthony Cook (born in 1998) is a 24-year-old Hampton County resident whom people recognize as the boyfriend of 19-year-old Mallory Beach, who lost her life in a deadly boat accident.

From the people aboard the boat, police learned that Alex Murdaugh’s younger son, Paul Murdaugh was heavily drunk while driving the boat, which ultimately caused the vessel to crash into a bridge. Reportedly Mallory fell into the river and drowned; it took 5 days for the search to find her dead body.

Soon after the accident, Mallory’s mother, Renee Beach, sued the Murdaugh family for $50 million. Besides Renee, Morgan Doughty (one of the teenagers aboard the boat) also filed a $10 million against Paul’s father.

Due to the high status of the Murdaugh family, lawsuits became a topic of talk all around America. In June 2021, Paul and Maggie Murdaugh were found dead at their hunting farm Moselle for which Alex got booked, and now he is facing double murder charges.

According to sources, on February 23, 2019, six teenagers: Paul Murdaugh, Morgan Doughty, Anthony, Mallory, Connor Cook, and Miley Altman, attended an Oyster Roast. Reportedly, all kids, despite being underage, were all heavily drunk.

Anthony revealed in the Netflix series that he had suggested taking Uber instead of going on the boat, but Paul silenced him and asked everyone to go to the ship. The vessel had no headlight, and it was all dark out in the river, which caused the accident.

As soon as the accident happened, all the passengers fell into the water; unfortunately, Mallory could not save herself from the water flow and lost her life.

Everybody claimed that the accident happened because of Paul’s carelessness, but the Murdaugh family claimed Connor Cook was driving the boat. On the other hand, Anthony claimed that Alex tried to frame Connor as the suspect by influencing the investigators.
