All About Respiratory Therapist Jennifer Hall
Jennifer Hall (age: 42, born in 1981) is a former respiratory therapist from Missouri. She admitted guilt concerning the deaths of two patients at a hospital and has been sentenced to 18 years behind bars. Initially, Hall faced two charges of first-degree murder.
However, in April, she opted to plead guilty to lesser counts of first-degree involuntary manslaughter in the cases of Fern Franco, aged 75, and David Wesley Harper, aged 37. In addition to these charges, Hall also pleaded guilty to one count of attempted second-degree assault.
Franco and Harper were two of nine patients who passed away at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe under the circumstances described in legal documents as “medically suspicious” during a series of incidents in 2002.

Beginning of Jennifer Hall’s Wrongdoings
According to available information, Jennifer’s alleged misconduct dates back to 2002, involving the tragic deaths of Fern Franco and David Wesley Harper. Franco and Harper passed away in 2002 while at Hedrick Medical Center.
Jennifer Hall was a respiratory therapist at the hospital for six months, from December 2001 to May 2002. The hospital witnessed the unfortunate demise of nine patients, including Franco and Harper, during these five months, as indicated in the probable cause statements.
It’s worth noting that previous Livingston County prosecutors had examined the case but did not pursue charges against Hall. In Harper’s case, doctors at the hospital admitted him for bronchitis on March 18, 2002. Two days later, they determined that Harper had shown improvement and could be discharged.
However, Harper chose to stay for an additional night to undergo a fitting for a C-PAP mask, as detailed in the probable cause statement. Tragically, he passed away the following day.
Jennifer Injected Patients with Succinylcholine
According to court documents, Jennifer Hall was the assigned respiratory therapist in Harper’s case. These documents also reveal that Hall failed to document two visits to Harper’s room during the final 25 minutes of his life.
Following Harper’s death, other hospital staff reportedly discovered a vial of succinylcholine in Hall’s possession, as outlined in the probable cause statement. It’s important to note that Hall was not certified to administer this drug to patients.
Succinylcholine paralyzes the victim’s muscles, including the diaphragm, leading to suffocation while the victim remains conscious and aware of their surroundings. Furthermore, Hall is accused of using succinylcholine to end the life of Fern Franco a month after Harper’s tragic death.
Arrest and Legal Action
The investigation of the mysterious deaths at Hedrick Medical Center continued for years, and during all these years, Jennifer maintained her innocent, claiming she did not harm anybody. In May 2022, Hall was arrested from her home in Livingston County, Missouri.
By then, she had separated from her husband and was booked under the name Jennifer Semaboye. During her visit to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, she wore a hoody that became the cause of sensational headlines.
FYI, after being convicted of the charge in 2001, Hall won her appeal and was acquitted at a second trial. Eventually, Hall pleaded guilty to her crimes, and the court punished her with 18 years of jail.
Jennifer Hall Education and Early Life
In 1981, Jennifer Hall (age 42) was born in Missouri, United States. Not much is known about her father and mother, as her parents stayed away from their daughter during the Hedrick Medical Center.
