Know About Texas Mall Shooting Victim Kyu Cho’s Life

Kyu Cho (age: 37 years; June 4, 1985, to May 6, 2023) was an Immigration Attorney based in Dallas, Texas, America, who was one of the eight to lose their life during the massacre at Allen, Texas. Sadly, Kyu was not the only one who died; his wife, Cindy, and son, James, also died, leaving behind a 3-year-old son named William.

The Cho couple was out shopping with its adorable child when Mauricio Garcia, a professional security guard loaded with guns and ammo, came in a silver Dodge Challenger; soon after stepping out of the car, Garcia opened fire at a crowd killing 8 and injuring multiple.

The suspect reportedly used an AR-15-style rifle and fired dozens of 5.56 mm rounds. Those who lost their lives at Texas Mall are Kyu (37), Cindy (35), James Cho (3), Christian LeCour (23), Eli Cumana Rivas (32), Aishwarya Thatikonda (26), Sofia Mendoza (8) and Daniela Mendoza (11).

Fortunately, there was a Police officer at the scene who, soon after hearing gunshots, came into action and acted rapidly. In no time, the officer killed the suspect, saving many people from becoming the prey of Mauricio.

A GoFundMe campaign is currently running to help raise money for funeral and memorial expenses. The targetted amount was $50,000, but the wonderful American community donated over $1.16 Million. You can also donate and help the poor Cho family.

What do we know About Allen Shooting & Mauricio Garcia?

On May 6, 2023, chaos erupted outside the Allen Premium Outlets. Mauricio Garcia, a lone gunman, had parked his Dodge Charger and was ready to unleash terror on unsuspecting shoppers and bystanders. The professional security guard wearing black gear and armed with an AR-15-style rifle fired dozens of rounds indiscriminately into the crowd. Sadly nobody could escape the shower of bullets.

Soon Allen Police Department was alerted, but it was an officer who happened to be at the mall on an unrelated call who heard the gunshots and bravely engaged the shooter, ultimately killing him. The heroic actions of the officer prevented further loss of life. The aftermath of the shooting was devastating.

Nine innocent people lost their lives, including Christian LaCour, whose loved ones are now left to mourn their loss. Seven others were injured, some critically, including a five-year-old child whose innocence and vulnerability made the tragedy even more heartbreaking.

The Medical City Healthcare Center became the epicenter of activity as emergency services rushed to save lives and treat the injured. As the investigation into the shooting unfolded, it was revealed that Garcia had come well-prepared for the attack, with ten rifles and six pistol magazines on his person. The motive for the attack is still unclear, leaving many questions unanswered and communities shattered.
