Patricia Birmingham (December 11, 1972 – December 6, 2021), also known as Rici, tragically became a victim of her husband Carey Birmingham in Texas in December 2021. Shockingly, the entire incident was captured on camera, showing Carey shooting Patricia three times.
The disturbing video later appeared online, revealing Carey with a shotgun during a heated argument. In a chilling twist, Carey went on to shoot Patricia three times, heartlessly telling her that she was going to “meet Jesus.”
This shocking incident took place in broad daylight, leading concerned neighbors to call 911. When the police arrived, they found Mrs. Birmingham on the ground, bleeding from the gunshot wounds.
Carey was quickly arrested and charged with murder. Recent updates indicate that a Texas court jury sentenced Carey Birmingham to 10 years in prison and imposed a $5,000 fine.
Patricia Birmingham Murdered In Broad Daylight
On March 5, 2024, a group of women on the jury made a decision, sentencing Carey Birmingham to 10 years in prison and a $5,000 fine. The sad incident in 2021 happened at 19800 Rose Dawn Lane, where deputies found Patricia Birmingham lifeless in the driveway, likely from a gunshot wound.
The upsetting event apparently took place after Carey found out about Patricia’s rumored extramarital affair. As investigators looked into what happened, they found out that only Carey and Patricia were at home, and their daughter Olivia was at school.
The couple had a heated argument that lasted around 30 minutes before the shooting.
Olivia, when she testified, mentioned that even though she hadn’t seen her father physically hurting her mom, she wanted to talk about the different types of abuse she experienced. Despite still loving her father, Olivia said that forgiving him might be hard.

She didn’t stop there, excelling as the leading salesperson in Junior Achievement. Patricia was also active in school activities and earned recognition in the Upward Bound program at Edgewater High School.

Later on, Rici moved to Houston, where she continued her work in the hospital until 2020, leaving only after the COVID mandates for hospital employees. Patricia didn’t stop there; she also became one of the top real estate agents in the Houston Area.
