Tristyn Bailey (age: 13, January 18, 2008, to May 9, 2021) was a cheerleader for the Infinity All-Stars and the Patriot Oaks Chargers. Unfortunately, her life was cut short on May 9, 2021, when she was reported missing by her family at 10 a.m. that day.

Dozens of community members searched for Bailey in wooded areas near the North Amenity Center, where she was last seen around 1:15 a.m. Sadly, after hours of searching, her body was discovered on Mother’s Day, May 9.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Officer identified 14-year-old Aiden Fucci, a classmate of Bailey, as the suspect in her murder. Cellphone records obtained from AT&T showed that she had an incoming voice call from Aiden Fucci.

Additionally, a Snapchat message circulated with a photo of Aiden Fucci in the back seat of a patrol car with text banners suggesting he knew what happened to Tristyn.

How did Aiden Fucci kill Tristyn Bailey?

According to police reports, Fucci asked for Bailey’s number on the night of her death and convinced her to leave her home to meet at a friend’s house.

Video footage from a nearby residence shows two individuals believed to be Fucci and Bailey, walking east on Saddlestone Drive near the area where her body was later found. An hour and 45 minutes later, the same video seems to show Fucci heading back alone, carrying his shoes.

Aiden Sean Fucci was 14 at the time of the killing and was a fellow student at Patriot Oaks who lived near Bailey. Fucci’s girlfriend and other friends told investigators he often talked about killing people and specifically said he planned to drag a random person into the woods and stab them.

Tristyn’s autopsy revealed that she suffered 114 “stab or cutting wounds about her head, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, and back.” At least 49 of these wounds were defensive in nature, indicating that she fought back against her attacker.

As per USAToday, Judge in a St. Johns County courtroom in Florida sentenced Fucci, who is now 16, to life in prison for the first-degree murder of Bailey. The case drew national attention due to the brutality of the killing and the ages of the victim and perpetrator.
